After successfully taking the first three pictures of the ships, continue to the desert. Watch your radio signal when it picks up. You should have the two bars to be all green. When that happens, you can pick up the camp on the radar.

Unlocking the two mini campaigns (Dogfight & Bombing) is accomplished by beating the main campaign mode. Each mini campaign contains six missions. Once all six are complete, two more aircraft (per mini campaign) are unlocked. In addition, the weapons of the aircraft can be upgraded by completing the two mini campaigns:

Completing the campaign missions with certain rankings unlocks new aircraft after each mission. Simply beating the mission unlocks the first of the two aircraft, while a Veteran Pilot ranking is required to attain the second. The rankings are given with stars, with the maximum number being five and the minimum being one. Three stars are required for a Veteran Pilot ranking.
